About Amanita muscaria (fly agaric)

Amanita muscaria, the fly agaric, is the iconic red mushroom with white spots. Its cap ranges from bright scarlet to orange and is covered with white, removable warts; the gills and stem are white, with a skirt-like ring and a bulbous base wrapped in rings of white tissue. It lives in symbiosis with birch, pine and spruce and is common in Baltic forests from August to October.

Our grades of dried caps

  • Premium+ (unopened caps) — young, closed caps picked before they open. The most uniform and best-looking selection.
  • Grade A — whole, straight, unbroken dried caps.
  • Grade B — broken or irregular caps and large pieces. Same raw material, lower price.

All caps are cleaned, carefully dried and packed in sealed bags in several weights.

Other formats

Besides dried caps we offer Amanita muscaria powder (100 g), 0.4 g capsules, a muscaria & chaga powder blend, fermented Amanita muscaria (50 ml), fermented gel, glycerine extract and a tincture with wormwood.

Origin
